Mariah
Owner

Hello! I’m Mariah. I'm from Michigan and I moved to Chicago in 2008. My love for animals has brought me to my current place in life. I started Paws In Motion in January 2011. Some of my favorite things to do are going to the park with my pups, gardening, and traveling. I also like to challenge myself with tough projects around the house. Mya, Bo, Banshee and Waylon (my pups) are the loves of my life. Mya (modeling in this pic!) is a super cool 10 y/o Sheppard mix that loves to play BALL! Bo the beagle is almost 14 and he loves TREATS more than anything in the world, Banshee the Chi-wienie is just about 6 y/o and he is the biggest goof ever, and Waylon the pittie puppy is just over year old and is just the silliest pup around! You can find my gang of pups cruising the streets of Pilsen and kicking up sand at the dog beach in the summer.
Maria
Supervisor - North

Maria's my name and dog walking is my game! I'm a supervisor here at paws in motion but honestly most of the time I can't even call it a job. Born and raised in Chicago with some time spent overseas, I have experience caring for fur babies all over the world. The love I receive and give on a daily basis has kept me motivated through rain snow and shine!

Social Media Administrator/Dog Walker - Streeterville

Hi, I’m Drew. I’m a Southern transplant who married a Chicago girl and moved to the city five years ago. We are proud puppy parents of an 8 year old Husky mix rescue named Buddy and a 2 year old man-cub named Holden (and a second one on the way this fall). I spent nearly a decade cooking in kitchens but left the restaurant business shortly after our son was born and began walking dogs part time while searching for a new career path. I fell in love with the job and have since moved up to a more managerial role with the company. It’s hard to beat a job that allows you to work outside and see the city while spending quality time with Chicago’s finest pups. In the last few months I have also taken on the role of Social Media Administrator for Paws In Motion as well, so give us a like and keep an eye out for your fur baby.

Giovanny
Dog Walker - East Pilsen

Hello! I'm Giovanny, the proud father of two beautiful Pit Bulls. I am a determined hard worker that loves dogs. I grew-up in the military, and am grateful to have traveled the world. I love to read and learn, and I also love to be outdoors whether it's camping, hiking, or fishing. I have also spent a lot of time helping tend to the needs of different kinds of animals on my grandfather’s farm in Missouri. I'm currently enrolled in college, and studying Theology. I think of myself as a kind, energetic, and goofy guy that’s excited to work with Paws In Motion!
Bennett
Dog Walker - Humboldt Park

Hello, I'm Bennett and my favorite thing about walking dogs is the quality time I get to spend getting to know them. We had a lot of pets of all shapes and species when I was growing up. I had to leave my dog with my parents when I moved to the city, but hanging out with your pet helps to make up for it . When I'm not out walking dogs, you can find me playing board games like Dungeons & Dragons or cooking. I also consider myself a bit of an aspiring actor and writer and even started a theater company called Other World Theater.
John
Dog Walker - River North

Hi there, I'm John and my favorite part of the job is developing unique relationships with each of my fur-covered clients. I love being outside and getting exercise and making the most of every day. I'm very passionate about dogs and have been a dog walker since 2004. My career has taught me a lot about dog behavior across many breeds and age levels which helps me to better address each dog’s needs. I am also passionate about rescues and currently own a Border Collie rescue named Erin. One of my future goals is to be more involved with placing rescues in their forever homes. When I'm not caring for your pet, I enjoy taking in live music shows, traveling, backyard gardening and cooking.

Bert
Dog Walker - West Town

I have a love for animals that’s out of this world and I treat every animal I see as one of my own! I've lived with dogs and cats since I was a child but never had one to call my own until a few years ago. In the summer of 2016 I met and married my adorable husband, who had 2 Mal-shi dogs named Nani and Kala. These two were sisters and they were just adorable together. Sadly, when we moved to Chicago from Indiana, we had to give Nani and Kala back to the rescue center my husband had gotten them from due to the fact that we would not be able to give them the proper attention they would need. Some of my hobbies include Table-top Role Playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, card games like Magic: The Gathering and almost any kind of board game! I also love playing video games when he has the time. I love spending time with family and friends doing any of the previously mentioned hobbies. I can not wait to spend time with all the doggies and other animals that might need my attention while working for Paws In Motion! Bring on the fur babies!
Tara
Dog Walker- West Loop

Hi everyone, Tara here! I'm an Illinois-native currently working on developing new skills and opportunities here in Chicago. I am an avid biker and have a love of all animal furry friends! I've been surrounded by animals my entire life including a loveable labrador and one very vocal siamese cat, but right now I do not have any pets of my own, so one of the best parts of my day is meeting and walking your fuzzy friends. I can't think of a better way to spend the day than taking your pupper to the park or playing with your cat and their favorite string toy and keeping you updated with notes and lots of pictures so you can check in on them getting lots of ear scratches, tennis ball time, and exercise. When I have free days I'm usually out and about visiting family or friends or reading a good book, and of course there is always so much to do and new things to check out around the city. I'm so excited to meet some new best buds and for you to have their paws in good hands

I grew up in the Chicagoland suburbs but I currently live in the west loop. In my free time I collaborate with local artists and love photographing! Can’t wait to meet your pet!
Rob
Dog Walker-Humboldt Park

Hey, I'm Rob. I am an avid outdoors man with a passion for nature and animals of every kind. I am from Chicago and my wife and I currently reside in Wicker Park with two rescue pups. I've been in the animal care business for almost 15 years and growing up, we had every kind of pet you could imagine, so I guess you could say I have a lifetime of experience working with animals. When I'm not caring for your pet, you can find me camping or hiking, getting a new tattoo, enjoying some art or creating some of my own, eating tacos or playing with my own dogs (just to name a few things I enjoy).
Diarra
Dog Walker- Pilson

Hi, I’m Diarra, Chicago bred. Dog walking is like a dream come true. I’ve always been around cats and dogs they make life a world of joy. Taking care of other people's pets is one of my passions, that's why I’m going to school to be a future Veterinarian. I mostly want to work more with wild life and farm animals so one day I can retire knowing how to take care of all of my animals.
